Jammu, Oct 20: Special Judge, NIA, Y P Kotwal today sent truck driver Shabzar Ahmed Bhat, who was arrested by NIA, to seven days judicial custody. Shabzar was produced by NIA in the court of Special Judge NIA, seeking his judicial remand. The judge, after going through the application, observed that custodial interrogation of the accused is not required and NIA does not require his custody and allowed the application and sent the accused to Judicial custody for a period of seven days till October 26, 2015. He was lodged in Kot-Bhalwal jail with the direction that his medical examination be got conducted after every 48 hours. (JNF) |
