HC stays selection of KCS Judicial | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 20: In a petition challenging result of preliminary examination of J&K Civil Service (Judicial) Competitive Examination, 2013 conducted by the state Public Service Commission (PSC), high court judge Janak Raj Kotwal today issued a notice to the state and PSC and ordered that subject to objections and till next date, selection process consequent upon and pursuant to the aforementioned preliminary examination shall remain stayed. The petitioner's counsel submitted that those, who participated in the examination, the examination is hit by the proviso to Rule 12 A (c) of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2005 as amended vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/2015/12 dated 13.08.2015. It is pointed out that as per Notification No PSC/EX-15/45 dated 30.09.2015 issued by Secretary and Controller of Examinations of the Commission, out of 120 questions given in the question paper of preliminary examination incorrectness has been found in 11 questions whereas official key issued by the commission has been found wrong in respect of other 5 questions, taking the whole number of two categories above 10 pc of the total questions.
