Jammu, Oct 20 : A large number of activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged protest demonstration outside Raj Bhawan, to highlight alleged prevailing mess in University of Jammu (JU).
The activists led by district president Rishikesh Rana raised slogans as "Governor Sahab Hosh Mein Aao, Jammu University Ko Bachao", "Nikamma Vice Chancellor Nahin Chalega- Nahin Chalega" and "Jammu University Mein Ghotalio Ki Jaanch Karo- Jaanch Karo,".
They also criticized the state government for turning mute spectator to the dictatorship of Vice Chancellor owing to which system was fast ruining. Rana said that day-to-day working was badly suffering on account of administrative failure and instead of growth & development University was treading the declining path and courses were being closed arbitrarily. He said, "The Human Genetics Research Centre is on the brink of closure just because the Vice Chancellor lacking inertia to take crucial decision which is detrimental to growth of University."
