Jt Secy (Admn) BOSE calls on DDC Udh, seeks action against staff involved in ‘mass copying’ | Mass Copying issue: | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: Following directions from Prof Zahoor Ahmad Chatt Chairman J&K BOSE to curb mass copying, Dr Farooq Ahmad Peer Joint Secretary (Admn) Jammu Division visited various centres of Examination pertaining to class 12 scheme falling in winter zone of district Udhampur and found mass copying at Govt Hr Sec School (GHSS) Pancheri. BOSE official called on DDC Udhampur and sought his intervention in this regard. According to official spokesperson, on the directives of Chairman Joint Secretary (Admn) Jammu Dr Farooq Ahmad Peer alongwith his team Rakesh Gupta Asstt Secretary Examination, Kuldeep Sharma Section Officer, Naveen Gupta Senior Assistant visited various centres of examination and observed that exam in various centres was going on smoothly except at Govt Hr Sec School (GHSS) Pancheri the team noticed that mass copying was going on in his centre with the help of supervisory staff who was involved in aiding and abetting in mass copying. Furthermore Dr Peer also met with DC Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal and apprised him about the mass copying in centre Pancheri Hr See. School Udhampur and requested him to take action against the staff are engaged in the said examination centre. He also demanded a probe into the entire gamut as ‘mass copying’ in this centre. Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahid took personal initiative immediately and called a meeting of ADC and issued directions to him to issue directives in this regard. Dr Peer Jt Secretary (Admn) Jammu took it seriously and he pointed out on the duty of Police constable who was deputed there for the purpose and asked him name who refused to disclose his name. Visiting team also noticed that Principal was not present in the school he was on another official duty. The Team also found that Exam centre Superintendent appointed by the BOSE itself was not on his duty while another person was appointed as Superintendent by the principal of the school without any intimation to BOSE. Thereafter Dr Peer requested Director School Education to disqualify such staff for further duties in the examination centres. He also met with the staff of Board Office Udhampur and directed them to exercise more vigilance in the centres notorious for mass copying and appoint superintendents who are known for their honesty and commitment towards their duty.
