Integrationists in Europe plan to challenge separatists in London
Seminar on J&K on Oct 26

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: The ongoing bloody anti-India movement in Kashmir, which is dangerously designed to get J&K separated from India and eliminate non-Muslim minorities in the State, has not only upset the integrationists, including the internally-displaced Kashmiri Hindus, in the neglected and politically marginalized Jammu province, but also angered and disturbed the Dogras of Jammu and Kashmiri Hindus living in different parts of Europe.
On the one hand, the integrationists under the banner of the various organizations, including Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), have planned a massive show of strength in Jammu and other parts of the province on October 26, the day the Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir, Hari Singh, acceded his State to India as per the constitutional law on the subject 68 years ago. On the other hand, the Europe-based Dogra and Kashmiri Hindu activists have arranged a seminar on the political situation in Jammu & Kashmir in the House of Commons, London.
Kashmiri Pandits Cultural Society (KPCS), UK, an organization of Kashmiri Hindus, and the Voice of Dogras (VoD), which consists of the Europe-based professionals and students from Jammu, have taken the lead and planned to organize jointly a number of events in the UK's capital London to promote the national cause in Europe.
The purpose of the Jammu-based and Europe-based integrations is the same: To controvert the baneful influence of the secessionists in Kashmir, counter the anti-India propaganda of the Europe-based supporters of Kashmiri secessionists, tell the international community that the accession of Jammu & Kashmir with India was lawful, final and irrevocable, highlight the political situation as it exists in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, educate the public opinion about the true picture of facts regarding the State, highlight the problems the non-Muslim minorities in the State have been facing at the hands of the regressive and intolerant forces in the Valley and make it loud and clear that the only issue which still remains unresolved between India and Pakistan is the political future of PoJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, which have been under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1947-1948.
The integrationists in Jammu province have been observing October 26 as a historic day since decades, notwithstanding the fact that none of the successive Governments at the Centre ever patted the pro-India forces in the State, as also notwithstanding the fact that New Delhi all through followed a policy of appeasement. The fact is that the rulers in New Delhi consistently discouraged the integrationists. Had New Delhi ever taken care of the nationalists, there would have been no migration of Kashmiri Hindus from the Valley and unrest in Jammu province. And, still the integrationists contributed, and continue to contribute, to the process of the State's integration to India in their own way. It was because of their pressure that the State was brought under the ambit of several Central laws and the offices of Governor and Chief Minister substituted the offices of Sadar-e-Riyasat and Wazir-e-Azam.
It will be for the first time in 68 years that the integrations in Europe would join hands in a big way at London to put things in perspective and counter the propaganda unleashed in Europe by the supporters of Kashmiri separatists. "For the last 68 years, a particular region and a certain narrative has overshadowed all others. This event is historic on many levels, starting from the fact that two ethnic minorities of the State have come together for a common cause to present the real picture of J&K before the world," Manu Khajuria, founder member of the VoD, was quoted as saying.
A report, which was based on the inputs given by Dogra and Kashmiri Hindu activists living in Europe, suggests that the KPCS and the VoD will not only hold a seminar in the House of Common on the situation in Jammu & Kashmir, but also suggests that "documentary films and an exhibition of the Dogra rule" will be the other major highlights of the activities the KPCS and VoD will organize. The report also suggests that the event will be graced by British Parliamentarians like Bob Blackman.
It is heartening that the integrations in Jammu and Europe have taken upon themselves the responsibility of putting things in perspective and expose the secessionists in Kashmir.
