| Central BJP leaders skip birth anniversary of Prem Nath Dogra | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: None of the central BJP leaders attending the birth anniversary function of Prem Nath Dogra, who is still a source of inspiration for BJP leadership in Jammu and Kashmir, raised many eyebrows.
The state unit of BJP on Friday organised a function to observe birth anniversary of the party stalwart Pandit Prem Nath Dogra. Top BJP leaders from Jammu and Kashmir were present in the function but none of the central leaders arrived from New Delhi to attend the function.
People of Jammu were expecting that a senior leader from Centre or some Union Minister would attend the function as late Pandit Prem Nath Dogra was a great leader.
Credible sources said that state unit of BJP did not show any interest in inviting any central leader from Delhi for this function. " State BJP leaders should have applied their mind as presence of a top leader would have really made a difference," sources said. "Lackadaisical attitude of the BJP leaders spolit the party."
Late Prem Nath Dogra , who was popularly known as Sher-e-Duggar by the people of Jammu should have been given due respect by the BJP central leadership. |
