Sainik Colony residents irked over IRCON's lackadaisical attitude

Jammu, Oct 23: The residents of sector -C of Sainik Colony, today lodged their resentment on the IRCON's laxities on lifting the debris, other materials in their locality and is posing the threat to the two wheeler riders.
Locals alleged that the IRCON started the work on installation of the electricity poles in the area and after completing the works, the men from work executing agency left the piles of debris and other left out material along road side in the locality. They lamented that this not only posing danger to two wheeler riders but also is littering within the locality giving it shabby looks.
While registering their resentment with the Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, the residents apprised him that they were assured twice by the Incharge Officers of the IRCON namely Bansal and Sudhir Gupta (Executive Engineer) at Sainik Colony for the removal of the material but nothing was done in this regard till date.
