MMBA delegation meets Div Com 10/24/2015 12:19:31 AM Jammu, Oct 23: A delegation of the executives of Mubarak Mandi Bachao Andolan met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal and submitted him memorandum demanding handing over of the Mubarak Mandi Complex to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Broadly appreciating the Action Plan prepared by the Divisional Commissioner and submitted to the State Govt. wherein recommendation has been made for handing over of historical Mubarak Mandi Complex to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for preservation, conservation and restoration. The MMBA delegation stressed for early action in the matter since the condition of the historically important building is fast deterioration. The delegation was further appreciative of Action Plan for rejecting the proposal of some quarters to make the Mubarak Mandi a hotel and rather for emphasizing the preservation of this magnificent Dogra Heritage.
