NSUI stages protest, demands removal of Union Minister Gen (Rtd) V K Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 23: Taking string exception of statement from Union Minister and former Army Chief General (Retd) V K Singh saying 'the Central government could not be associated with every incident…..,' the State Unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) today staged protest outside Press Club of Jammu and burnt the effigy of Union Minister while demanding his removal from union cabinet. Amid slogans against Union Minister over his ‘horrendous’ remarks as " the Central government could not be associated with every incident and the local administration had to be blamed for it, the NSUI activists staged protest. Union Minister's remarks came over the killing of the two Dalit children in Faridabad, Haryana two days ago. Led by State President Neeraj Kundan, the activists gathered outside Press Club of Jammu and demanded that General Singh be removed from the Union Cabinet for his "insensitive" remarks. Prominent among who were present during the protest Ajay Kumar-National Delegate, Sahil Singh Langeh, Mehran Anjum, Anuj Singh Manhas, Naresh Digra, Honey and Shaibaz Kholi. The today's protest was organized by Arif Choudhary-state Secretary NSUI. |
