FD retrieves 57 kanals forest land

RAMBAN, Oct 23: As part of a drive to evict the recorded and unrecorded illegal encroachment of the forests land, a team of officers today retrieved 57 kanals forest land from the encroachers.
According to a handout issued by the Forest department, a team led by Range Officer Banihal Angraj Singh along with Block Officer Sarbagni Parvaiz Ahmed carried a raid at village Palwas Sarbagni in District Ramban and retrieved 57 kanals of Forest land from the clutches of encroachers and also dismantled one structure constructed illegally in forest land by Mohd Ishaq, Mohd Shafi and Feroz Din residents of Palwas Sarbagni. They have converted forest land into Agricultural fields which was retrieved back after facing a stiff resistance from the encroachers. The eviction process was successfully executed by Territorial staff of Ramban Forest Division and whole operation was closely monitored by Conservator of Forest Chenab Circle Doda MP Dogra.
