"The J&K Government should implement the High Court decision/order in letter and spirit without any further delay as it would benefit many employees. Promotions under reservation should not be given at the cost of others" said General Secretary, AIRF Gulshan Kumar while addressing the gathering. Members of civil society, students from various colleges from Rajouri and Poonch districts held a joint meeting at Poonch under the banner of AIRF have hailed the High Court direction underlining that the 'Reservation policy' has badly hit the future of hundreds of candidates who excel in open merit and didn't get promotions due to reservations. SK Mughal , Gulshan Kumar and others are of the view that the Court should constitute an Independent Commission to find out how many times an employee has taken benefit of the reservation during his service tenure and if so it was a violation of the directions of the Apex Court . Speakers added that they are not against reservation to any community/group but it should not be at the cost of rights of others. |
