ESIC Local Committee meet held 10/24/2015 12:37:55 AM Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 23: Second meeting of Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Local Committee, Srinagar (J&K) was held today at Sher-e- Kashmir International Convention Centre at Srinagar and chaired by Vipra Bhal, Labour Commissioner, Government of J&K. The meeting was conducted by Member Secretary Kunal Kumar, Branch Manager, ESIC, Srinagar. Performance of ESI Scheme in the area of ESIC Branch Office, Srinagar was reviewed where around 18000 employees are covered comprising of 72000 beneficiaries. The Committee was informed that in the year 2014-15 a total of over 1600 medical reimbursements worth over Rs. 84 lakhs were made to the beneficiary employees in Srinagar apart from OPD services for primary and secondary care treatment through 4 ESI Dispensaries in Srinagar. Further superspeciality treatments of all the ESI beneficiaries of Srinagar were entirely arranged or reimbursed by ESIC during the period. Also, cash benefits on account of employee abstention due to sickness, etc, amounting Rs. 32 lacs were also given to the employees. Issues concerning ESI Scheme in Srinagar were discussed in the meeting and important decisions were made to improve the services being provided under ESI Scheme in Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama districts. Labour Commissioner, Govt. of J&K assured full support from Govt. of J&K for improvement in ESI facilities in the State and also assured to take up all the pending issues with ESIC Head Office for early clearance thereof.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
