| Samba, Baramulla win ties in U-19 hockey | | | JAMMU, Oct 23 : District Samba and Baramulla won their respective matches on the opening day to move into the next round of the Inter-district State level competition, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), for under-19 boys at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today. In the first match of the day, Samba outplayed district Udhampur 3-2. Varun, Ramneek and Nikhil were the scorers from Samba while Nizakat and Netar sounded the board from Udhampur. Baramulla district blanked Kathua 3-0 in other match of the day with Arshveer scoring two goals and Harvinder one. Earlier, the tournament was declared open by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Gurmeet Singh, Satvinder Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Mandeep Singh and Jajjit Singh. |
