Kathua, Nov 3: Spreading awareness regarding "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao", a program under the supervision of BMO Hiranagar, Dr Omkar Nath was organized in Sub Center Fattu Chack.
Dr Guru Prasad Sharma, Om Prakash Sharma (C.H.O) , Parvesh Sharma were present on the occasion. Dr Guru highlighted the programme launched by Centre as well as the State governments for the upliftment of girl child sex ratio and to encourage the girl child to educate. Government schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Laadli beti Yojana, Aasra etc are well explained in detail by Dr Guru so that maximum number of people get benefit of these schemes.
Dr Guru expressed concerned on the declining girl sex ratio particularly in our district and he requested Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and other public representatives to spread the knowledge about stopping female feticide and to encourage girl child to go to schools. |
