Jammu, Nov 3: Police claimed to have busted a sex racket in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir with detaining of atleast six persons from a local Hotel at national highway, here on Tuesday. Police sources said, "Following a specific input, a police party from Kathua this afternoon conducted a raid in a hotel situated at Hatli Morh- the intersection of National Highway and Kathua town link road. Sources added that police detained three males and three females during this raid apart from the lifting of some employees of the Hotel for questioning. They added that the alleged racket was being allegedly operated clandestinely and after receiving complaints lodged by unknown persons, the raid was conducted here today to ascertain the fact of complaints. Police sources said the questioning of detainees is in progress and police yet have not revealed the names of the detained persons till now maintaining that it will hamper the further investigations. However, police sources briefly said male accused detained hail one each from Jammu, Kathua and Punjab. "As the matter is being investigated," sources said, adding, "further details are awaited." |
