Modi Impartial, Unprejudiced, says Mufti | PM focused on Development of JK | | Javaid Naikoo

Srinagar, Nov 3: Amid criticism against Union Government due to prevailing cycle of intolerance, Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed today came openly in support of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and termed him impartial unprejudiced. He also said that Centre wants good relations with Pakistan. Talking to media persons after laying foundation stone of a Citizen's Park here at Tatoo Ground, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed in reply to a question said that he (Narendra Modi) is the Prime Minister elected by 1.2 billion people of such a big country and he is not intolerant but all inclusive and impartial. The Chief Minister also batted for dialogue with Pakistan and said that Prime Minister should break the ice during his upcoming visit here on November 7 like former Prime Minister of the country, Atal Bihari Vajpayye launched the peace process in 2003 from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that union government wants good ties with neighboring countries like Pakistan and added that if India has to become a big power of the world, then it is necessary that we have good relations with the neighboring countries. "Breakthrough can only be achieved through a peace process this confrontation between the two countries has resolved nothing in the past 68 years and would never in future again, keeping good relations with Pakistan is in the interest of Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country." He said. On Prime Minister's upcoming visit to Jammu and Kashmir,Chief Minister said that Prime Minister is coming here and he will have something to say definitely. He said that Prime Minister is focussed on development of Jammu and Kashmir and the state government is working in this direction already as work is going on fast track bases like construction of roads. However Mufti Muhammad Sayeed did not elaborated on Possible package from Prime Minister for flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir and cut short the question by saying "it is up to him." Pertinently following an agreement between the state government and the Army authorities, 17 acres of land of Tatoo ground here at Srinagar has been let by the Army authorities for the construction of a Citizens Park. According to details collected in this regard, the state government has promised alternative land to the army for these 17 acres somewhere in Kashmir. The Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed's Support for Prime Minister has come down at a time when according to analysts union government led by Narendra Modi is severely criticized for raking up cycle of intolerance across the country. Mufti Muhammad Sayeed made these remarks on the sidelines of a function here at Srinagar's Tattoo ground, where he laid foundation stone of a Citizens Park after Army agreed to left the ground for construction of park here. |
