Treat petitioner as belonging to ALC category: HC to BOPEE 11/3/2015 11:04:33 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 3: J&K High Court Jammu Wing has allowed the writ petition in the OWP no 600/2015 titled Sovia Anand Vs state of Jammu and Kashmir and ors in which the petitioner has sought direction upon the Board of Professional Entrance and Examination (BOPEE) to treat her as belonging to ALC category and consider her candidature for her selection for undergoing MD/MS /PG diploma courses and MDS vide notification dtd 8/1/2015. After hearing both sides, Justice Ali Mohd Magray allowed the petition and also direction to the BOPEE that the process shall be completed within one week. After finding that the petitioner possessed ALC category and found merit in the petition, the Court directed the respondents to allocate the stream of MD/Ms/PG course under ALC Category and not the open merit. Earlier counsel Sr Advocate Sunil Sethi appearing for petitioner with support of the judgments submitted the court that the petitioner is the resident of ALC even prior to issuance of notification of selection has not undergone any change.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
