Students of the school closed the gate of the school and also blocked the Kalakote link road for three hours demanding arrest of the students who after the incident have gone underground. Pertinently about eight students from majority community have been identified for raising pro-Pakistan slogans and a case already stands registered under appropriate sections of law against the accused when Anil Gujral Principal of the school reported the matter to the police. "As the students involved and their parents didn't turn up to apologize, the students closed the school gate and started protest demonstration and later they were also joined by the local shopkeepers and people on October 30, said Principal of school. Meantime Ranjeet Singh Sarpanch of Sialsui who had desired to settle the matter amicably but the efforts utterly failed as the accused students as well as their parents remained adamant. Later on October 30 under the mounting pressure from the students and locals police have booked the students in case FIR No 57/15 under section 153A RPC and started investigation. Agitated over the alleged in action of police, the students again closed the school gates at about 9.45 am and gathered outside on the link road and held protest demonstration against the police failure to arrest the accused students. On getting information of protest demonstration Sub Divisional Magistrate (DM), Kalakote along with SHO rushed to Sialsui and assured the students for early action in this matter. Sources said that students have given two days time to the police to take action against those booked in the FIR. Immediately after the FIR was lodged, Rajeshwar Singh, SSP had said that police have started investigation & stringent action under law will be initiated against those involved in the incident and against those, if any, who had instigated the students for such activities. |
