Pawar visits border areas of Samba, interacts with villagers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 3: J&K Pradesh Mahila Congress team led by Indu Pawar President Mahila Congress visited the villages of Samba district on Pakistan Border which suffered heavy loss of life and property due to un-provoked shelling by Pakistan forces on civilian population. Pawar visited the houses of people and met the sufferers in Villages Mawa, Banglad, Pangdore, Chilliarian and Kangwal of Samba District & Babia of Hiranagar. Team of Mahila Congress comprised Champa Devi, Prabha Slathia, Santosh Sharma and others. The team met the people of above said villages & had the first hand feeling of their sufferings. Pawar assured to take up their problems with the authorities to provide relief and ensure safety of life & property. Team met Kalo Ram whose two Buffalos were killed, Guna Ram and Sikander Singh whose houses were damaged and also Pritam Singh whose Matador had been damaged. Team also visited Government Hospital at Samba and met the victims of Pakistan firing namely Suraj Singh Numberdar of Mawa, Romy and Kailsaho Devi who were admitted for treatment of injuries. |
