Early Times Report Jammu, Nov. 3: Demanding revocation of ban on tuition's order, J&K Teacher's Welfare Association urged Education Minister to re-consider the decision sympathetically for the interest of teaching as well as student's community. Teaching privately after school hours is not an easy job, it needs sheer hard work and knowledge. At the most, the Department can give permission to those Teacher's/Master's/Lecturer's/ReTs who are interested in giving tuitions after or before their school hours. Although it is against the conduct of service rules, but almost every employee now-a-days does something extra to sustain his family in these hard times because merely banking upon salary pay does not suffice, said Jasmeet Singh Madaan, President, T.W.A. Education department should rather concentrate to provide a good Learning Centres for public and leave everything to public to decide where their ward should study. In this era of competitiveness, parents leave no stone unturned to improve the deficiencies of their wards in certain subjects by providing him/her an extra tuition. Citing an example, Jasmeet said, when a tourist comes in the state, it is his prerogative that he stays in dharamshala where there is nearly no rent or normal hotel of less budget or high budget hotel, according to his pocket. Similarly, there are Evening Learning Centres where anyone can come and gain knowledge without any fee, there are individual tuition centres where students pay a nominal amount for tuitions and big Institutions charge hefty amount from students and provide them good infrastructure besides latest techniques. |
