Reasi, Nov 13: To widen the base of entrepreneurship by developing achievement motivation, a three-week Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) got underway here on Friday at Mahore. The programme was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) under the Himayat Self Employment Component -a part of the Skills Empowerment and Employability (SEE) scheme of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Ministry of Rural Development GoI. The objectives of the programme were to promote enterprise-led livelihoods by imparting training, sector exposure, financial linkages, market linkages, handholding and mentoring support to aspiring micro entrepreneurs to take up individual and entrepreneurial activities. Stating that 112 participants from Reasi, Mahore ,Pouni ,Gulabgarh , Arnas and other parts of district Reasi had attended the first day of EDP.
