Twin Bus mishaps in Jammu, 35 injured, 12 critical | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 13: Thirty-five people were injured in two separate bus accidents in Jammu, with twelve of them said to be in critical condition, police said today. In the first incident, a bus, on its way to New Delhi from Katra belt of Reasi district, skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge beside the Jammu-Pathankote highway at Gagwal area in Kathua district late last night, police said. 18 people were injured, 8 of whom are in critical state, they said. In another mishap last night, a mini bus, which was on its way from Ramkote to Manwal area in Udhampur district, hit a big rock, after the driver lost control of the vehicle, police said. 17 people were injured in this accident, four of whom are in critical condition, they said. The critically injured in both accidents were admitted to GMC Hospital in Jammu for specialised treatment, police said, adding, investigation has begun into the two cases and further details are awaited. |
