Poonch Nov.13: In order to discuss issues regarding updating of National Population Register (NPR) database and incorporation of AADHAR number in NPR database, Deputy Commissioner (District Registrar of Citizens Registration) Poonch, Mohammad Harun Malik convened a meeting of concerned officers.
While taking a detailed review of the process of registration under NPR, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities in the District to expedite the process enjoining upon the Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars besides officers of CA&PD, Municipality and other line Departments to work in cohesive and a coordinated manner with dedication to ensure maximum coverage by conducting house to house enumeration.
He stressed upon the imperative need of updating the existing NPR database by verifying the details of usual residents, incorporation of AADHAR number in the NPR database by reaching door steps and inclusion of new usual residents/households found in the local area during the field work.
Training programmes for SDMs, Tehsildars, ADs and enumerators would be organized at District and Tehsil level to make them aware about the latest methodology for filling the NPR data booklet and other related forms during their field work, DC informed |
