Bhaderwah, Nov 13: Municipal Committee Bhaderwah (MCB) today launched week-long 'Clean Bhaderwah Abhiyan'.
According to press release the Abhiyan was inaugurated by SDM Bhaderwah Mohd Anwar Banday and other dignitaries including Tehsildar Bhaderwah Dr Amir, in charge Executive Officer Mohd Ashan, Mohd Sajid Malik and all sweepers of the MCB.
On the occasion, an oath was administered for cleanliness, wherein, it was pledged by all to keep the environment neat and clean and to spare 100 hours every year to dedicate himself/herself for doing the cleanliness and hoped that this step would lead to make India clean.
During the drive, people assured MCB that they will provide full cooperation and try their level best to keep the bazaars clean. Speaking on the occasion SDM Bhaderwah Mohd Anwar Banday said the people living in the Bhaderwah town should also contribute their bit in ensuring proper cleanliness so that the pilgrims get a good feel about it. Referring to the solid waste management, he said that a comprehensive project would be undertaken soon and in this regard the necessary steps stand taken. |
