Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 01: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir today qualified for the final and shall be playing against Telangana in the title clash of the 61st National School Games Cricket under-17 girls at MA Stadium, here tomorrow morning. Earlier, in the semifinals, played at Shrine Boards Stadium, Katra, J&K defeated Andhra Pradesh by five wickets. Batting first, Andhra made 66 runs for seven wickets in 15 overs game. Sindhuga and Tajesy were main scorers with 20 and 18 runs in their respective accounts. From J&K, Sanjana and Pushpa shared one wicket each. In reply, J&K chased the 67 runs target in 14.4 overs losing five wickets. Pushpa and Sanjana were top scorers with 18 and 17 runs respectively. Sindhuga took two wickets from Andhra. In other semifinal, Telangana defeated Punjab by 29 runs to qualify for the final. Batting first, Telangana set a target of 99 runs for one wicket in 15 overs, which, Punjab could not chase and could make only 69 runs for nine wickets in given 15 overs. Meanwhile, as per the organisers, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the final shall be followed by the valedictory function of the tournament.
