Ineligible blue eyed posted as I/C DyMS in GMCH | Court issues notice to Commissioner Secretary, Principal, Ors | | Sumit Sharma Early Times Report jammu, Dec 1: While political bosses of the department of Health and Medical Education of the state are basking under the glory of being awarded for best healthcare in the country, the nepotism in the department has embarrassingly come to the fore yet again as the Principal GMC and Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education have been summoned by the court in a petition alleging appointment of an eligible blue eyed doctor as incharge Deputy Medical Superintendent of the GMCH. As per Writ Petition No 3070 having titled Krishan Manhas v/s State,ors , "Writ Petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India has been filed by the petitioner Krishan Manhas and is fixed for yours presence in the court at Jammu on 2/12/2015 at 10 am. You can present yourself either personally or through an advocate or recognized agent". The notices were issued to the top bureaucrats of the Health Department after a complaint was lodged with it alleging there in that violating Health Department's norms a doctor who is simply MBBS has been posted in the Premier Institute of Jammu province- GMC&H, as incharge Deputy Medical Superintendent. As per official sources, the said doctor being close to the corridors of power has been posted as incharge Deputy Medical Superintendent in GMC&H despite of the fact that neither he has MD degree nor has 3 years experience in running hospital administration nor he remained as senior most CMO in any hospital. Sources further said that for the post of Administrator in hospital one should have degree of Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA)or Master Degree in Hospital Administration. The degrees so obtained must be from those institutions recognized by the Medical Council of India. Meanwhile, the complainant Krishan Manhas when contacted said that besides the said doctor, there are many other doctors who have been adjusted as Medical Superintendents and Deputy Medical Superintendents in violation of norms. |
