Ram Madhav's unexpected Jammu visit surprises many | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 1: Unscheduled visit of National General Secretary of the BJP, Ram Madhav, to Jammu on Tuesday raised many eyebrows as the architect of the PDP-BJP alliance in J&K straightway went to Raj Bhawan to meet Governor N N Vohra after reaching here. Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh also accompanied Madhav in his hour long "unscheduled" meeting with the Governor. Madhav's reaching Jammu this afternoon has surprised BJP leaders because there was no programme of his visit. Even most of the BJP ministers were not aware of the visit of their National General Secretary. Credible sources revealed that Madhav was sent to Jammu with a "special mission" of the national leadership of the BJP. Just a couple of days back, BJP ministers and other leaders had called on Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to lodge their protest against style of functioning of some key PDP ministers. The sources said that BJP high-command is also not happy with the recommendations made by Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) on cadre review of Administrative Service headed by Nirmal Singh. Recommendations of CSC would have far-reaching consequences in J&K, so the BJP leadership expressed its unhappiness over outcome of the CSC which was headed by none other than party's own ministers. The sources said that Madhav has also brought this matter before Deputy Chief Minister and conveyed him message of the party high command. "He has made it clear (to Nirmal Singh) that undermining importance of Union cadre in the state would encourage only anti-national forces in Jammu and Kashmir," the sources added. |
