3 yrs on, construction work of examination hall at GGHSS Miran Sahib yet to be completed 12/2/2015 12:01:59 AM Bijay Charak Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 1: In what could be termed as negligence of state government towards education sector, the construction work of examination hall of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Miran Sahib of Block RS Pura started three years back is still incomplete. Sources in Education Department informed Early Times that in the year 2012 state government had sanctioned the examination hall building to GGHSS Miran Sahib at an estimate cost of Rs. 19 Lakhs on the demands of locals but surprisingly, till date the construction work of such building is in progress. Priya Sharma a student who is pass out of the school narrating her story said that more than 600 students enrolled in each year from class IX- XII. The class rooms are sufficient but during exam, in absence of examination hall rest of other classes have to be suspended. Castigating, lackadaisical approach of state government she said that if the school had an examination hall there would be no need to suspend the classes. Contractor Surjeet Singh said that delay in completion of Examination hall is due to non release of fund timely.
