| Angered over power curtailment, protesters block National highway | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 8: Angered over the curtailment of power, residents of Rajbagh today staged protest demonstration by blocking the National Highway.
The protesters sought electrical transformer for long but Power development Department PDD did not even asked grievances of the villagers.
Bishan Dutt, a senior citizen said electrical transformer got defunct few days back that affected study, water supply, communication system and other significant domestic function. He said villagers approached to concerned department that did not take the matter seriously.
Charanpreet Singh a youth said SHO Rajbagh rushed on the spot and pacified the protesters besides ensured to provide electrical transformer within hours but ironically despite blockage of National highway department could reach to ask grievances of the people. |
