Three models selected for National Children Science Congress exhibition | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 8: Three science models prepared by the students of Kishtwar district find place to represent the state of Jammu and Kashmir at National level competition "National Children Science Congress" to be held at Chandigarh from 27th to 31st December 2015. Overall 16 models, 8 each from Jammu, Kashmir province will represent the state of Jammu and Kashmir in the national level competition and Kishtwar District is the only District among all 22 Districts of the state from where three models were chosen for national level competition which according to experts is a big achievement for the District. Out of three selected models, two are prepared by the students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar by Ankush Kotwal a student of 11th class and other one by Vishwajeet Parihar, the student of 9th class while the 3rd model is of Moin Jaffer, a student of 8th class from Mother Pride School Kishtwar. All the three students worked under the guidance of Physics lecturer Arshad Hussain Dev and it was due to tireless efforts of Arshad Hussain Dev, that three models were selected from Kishtwar District at state level among the 80 Projects prepared by students from various Districts of the state. Speaking to Early Times, Lecturer Arshad Hussain Dev said that the first model prepared by Ankush Kotwal is based on the theme of increase in life span of Kishtwar based Onion, while second model prepared by Vishwajeet Parihar is named as "Journey from Chinar to Karam (Knol khol)". He said that the 3rd model prepared by 8th class student Moin Jaffer is based on new concept of drying Saffron petals. |
