JAMMU, Dec 8: Yogic School of Health in collaboration with Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar organized classroom happiness yoga and yogic cardio workshop. The workshop was designed by internationally renowned life transformer, Dr Maruti Sharma while it was conducted by Manager of Yogic School of Health, Arun Sharma. On this occasion BJP Mahila Morcha District vice president, Rekha Mahajan was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mahajan said that one of yoga's primary benefits for adults is the alleviation of stress. Students may be young, but they aren't immune to stress. Family pressure, financial fears, academic performance standards and peer groups can all take a toll on a student's psyche and success in school. However, very often, yoga is only partially understood as being limited to asanas (yoga poses). As such, its benefits are only perceived to be at the body level and we fail to realize the immense benefits yoga offers in uniting the body, mind and breath, she added. Yoga helps a person to get higher level of consciousness by getting control over the body in all aspects like physically, mentally, socially and intellectually, she maintained. |
