CEO withholds salaries of staff of two schools in Manjakote, Thannamandi Zones 12/8/2015 11:11:45 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Dec 8: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ch Altaf Hussain today has ordered to withhold the salaries of teaching staff including of the headmasters of two schools under jurisdiction of Manjakote and Thannamandi Education zones for alleged mismanagement, missing of cash books of school funds, other irregularities and below average academic standard of the students. On the directions of Ch Altaf Hussain ,CEO, the inspection team comprising principal , head master and Zonal Education Project Officer (ZEPO) paid surprise visit to Govt High School at Hayatpura in Manjakot tehsil recently and found irregularities besides academic standard below average. Inspection Committee in its report submitted that even the Headmaster couldn't produce cash books of school and SSA funds while leave arrangement file was missing from the school records. It also ad mentioned that Science Laboratory too was found non- functional and Mid Day Meal too was not being served as per menu and violations of rules /regulations was also noticed in the cash books of Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA). After receiving report from inspection committee, the CEO Rajouri vide his office order has stopped the salary of the staff till they improve the academic standard which will be certified by another inspection team deputed by the CEO after one month. Meantime CEO Rajouri has directed the headmaster to explain his position within seven days of receiving of this order. He also has directed the District Coordinator RMSA to scrutinize the SSA, RMSA Accounts and cash books of school funds, Mid Day Meal & other funds of said school and submit report within 7 days to proceed further in this matter. In a similar case, an inspection team found irregularities during its visit to Govt High School Shahadra under Tanamandi Education Zone and submitted it reports to concerned CEO. Following this, Ch Altaf Hussain CEO Rajouri has stopped the salary of the staff including that of headmaster and the PET.
