| SC leaders express disappointment over HC's order | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 8: Scheduled Caste Communities leaders have expressed their disappointment over recent High Court's order in which, promotion benefits under reservation have been denied.
Flanked with community leaders Rakesh Tak, Sachin Bhagat, Brij Mehra, Pawan Dogra and Vinod, the senior leader of Scheduled Caste Communities, Vijay Anand said, "At present reserved categories in the State stands awfully upset and alienated over present scenario emerged after denial of promotional reservation share which the Reserved categories had been getting since long past. " Vijay Anand and other speakers expressed their concerns over the recent directive of the High Court where in grant of benefits to category employees have been ceased promotional opportunities. "SC/ST communities are entitled to such benefits at all stages, they said and alleged that the leaders from these communities have remained mute spectators of the happenings without raising the issue which has put the communities to lot of sufferings. The speakers through this media conference regretted that though the leaders and minister from the community have to raise the issue but they yet have failed to raise the issue as was expected by the community people. They added that resentment is brewing among people against elected MLA/MLC of communities for their in action in this regard. |
