JAMMU, Dec 8 : Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association today interacted with the medal winner senior judokas, Shweta Thakur and Danish Sharma in the recently held Senior National Judo Championship at Chandigarh.
While Shweta won her second back to back gold in the senior nationals, Danish bagged bronze amidst tough competition in his weight category. Both these judokas have already represented Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in the World University Games. Earlier, general secretary of the Association, Vikas Gupta briefed the other office bearers about national competition. Prominent among those present were general secretary of J&K Olympic
Association, Ashutosh Sharma, senior vice president of State Judo Association, Kuldeep Singh, vice president, R C Thakur, Varinder Dogra (treasure) and Suraj Sharma.
Also present were Judo coaches, Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra and Ritika Slathia. |
