Unite against BJP, Sham Sharma urges Jammuites | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 8: "BJP is more worried about the welfare of separatists than those who voted them to power." This was stated by Sham Lal Sharma, senior vice president JKPCC and former minister while addressing Akhnoor Block Congress Committee meeting on Tuesday. Sharma accused BJP-PDP coalition government of diverting the attention of the masses from their failure to deliver good governance. Sharma said the state people are demanding good governance and seek resolution of their day to day grievances "while BJP befools people with miraculous solutions of the disputes between India and Pakistan." "On the ground, people especially in rural and border areas are crying for ration, LPG, fertilizers, drinking water, power supply and other civic amenities," he said. He alleged that the administration has virtually collapsed and added to the woes of the people. "Handicapped people as well as old aged cry for their monthly pension. BJP leaders humiliated them with golf courses in Jammu. PM Modi seems more keen in bullet trains than providing road connectivity in remote areas of the state," Sharma said. "Enough is enough, people must wake up to demand their rightful dues." Other block committee office bearers includes Kuldeep Verma, ex-Vice Chairman, Ram Swarup, Ch. Sham Lal, Thakur Nasib Singh, Ram Rattan, Raj Rani, and Aman Gupta were present on the occasion. |
