| Sunderbani turning contrary to its name, garbage, everywhere | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Dec 12: The concerned authorities have been letting garbage to pile up in streets and roads but all this is causing inconvenience to locals as improper disposal of garbage in the Sunderbani (Once known as Beautiful place thus derived the name Sunder- Beautiful + Bani -Place) is losing its true name. The garbage eyesore is not confined to main market but it now has become menace in the adjoining township of main Sunderbani and the garbage piles give town a stinking face. "The lack of mechanism for cleanliness in the city has left people to be critical of the authorities concerned, said Rakesh Kumar a local trader. Local also lamented that it was indifferent approach of the authorities who have failed to keep the city clean while Prime Minister of India has given the call of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - the clean India.
The concerning department instead of ensuring safe healthy environment to masses has apparently turned its back to its responsibilities enshouldered to it. Local also said that places including the Bus Stand, road leading to Cremation Ground, some patches on Jammu- Rajouri towards Thandapani could be seen boasting piles of garbage while the Army area -the cantonment to its sharp contrast portrays a clean picture of other side of town. They hoped that the concerned authorities mend their ways at earliest and make the city clean aptly coming to its name- the Sunderbani. |
