Suspension of Charak, Vakil, Sagar likely to be revoked soon

Jammu, Dec 12: Congress high command is learnt to have agreed for revocation of the suspension of three senior party leaders in Jammu and Kashmir who were shown door following their alleged anti-party activities.
The trio, namely Gulchain Singh Charak, Advocate Abdul Gani Vakil and Prem Sagar Aziz, are likely to be taken back into the party fold and a formal order in this regard may be issued soon after the end of ongoing winter session of the Parliament.
According to the sources in Congress circles, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad played crucial role in paving the way for possible return of these three former Ministers into the party fold. Azad succeeded to convenience AK Antony, chairman of the Congress Disciplinary Action Committee, and other leaders, who matter in the high command, that continuous suspension of the three would not serve any purpose except weakening the party in Jammu and Kashmir, sources explained.
It may be recalled Charak, Vakil and Sagar Aziz were suspended from the Congress for their alleged anti-party activities, a few months back. The trio had raised a banner of revolt against the incumbent PCC president GA Mir. Even as Prem Sagar Aziz has tendered an unconditional apology to the high command, both Gulchain Singh Charak and Abdul Gani Valik had lashed out on the high command leaders, particularly Rahul Gandhi, for their alleged incompetence and failures.
After maintaining a silence over the suspension of these three, two of whom are known as his loyalists, Ghulam Nabi Azad took the opportunity of Ambika Soni's deputation to Punjab and initiated the move for revocation of the suspension and discussed the issue with AK Antony, who signaled in positive, sources said. Following this development, sources added, the suspended leaders were recently summoned to Delhi where a meeting was held at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Azad, who asked the trio not to make any controversial public statement till a formal order on revocation of their suspension is made after Winter Session of the Parliament.
