In a PIL, seeking implementation of the August 24, 2012 high court order whereby a direction was issued to scrutinise the ST category certificates, a division bench of HC Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed secretary of Social Welfare Board (SWB) to comply with the court directions within six weeks.
The PIL was filed by a member of the state advisory board for the development of Gujjar and Bakkerwal. He had sought the implementation of August 24, 2012 HC order whereby a division bench had directed state to set up Scrutiny Committee at division/district levels to scrutinise ST (social status) certificates of reserved category. The bench, after hearing the advocate for the PIL, directed SWB secretary to comply with the court directions within six weeks. (JNF) |
