RAMBAN, Dec 12:Under the nationwide annual Mega National Lok Adalat drive as many as 2591 cases were settled amicably by the various benches in the different courts of Ramban district under the supervision of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Principal District Sessions Judge (PDSJ), Ramban, Kalpna Revo, today. Total cases pertaining to an amount of Rs.1,40,16538 including Rs.85,31,260 under MACT and Rs.54,85278 as compoundable fine in different cases were also settled today. Notably, a case, Mohd.Din v/s State Bank of India pending execution since 2003 was settled by a bench headed by the PDSJ, Kalpna Revo wherein the SBI, Ramban branch agreed to pay a recovery of Rs.15,30,617 with interest to Mohd. Din by January 30 this year. An another protracted domestic violence case under 498-A ,State v/s Pradeep Singh pending for last two years was also settled in favour of the woman victim of Ramban, by a bench headed by the Chief Judicial Magisterate(CJM), Ramban,Yahaya Firdouse. An amount of Rs.17,25,243 was distributed through cheques to the beneficiaries under the Motor Accidental Claim Tribunal. In another case under the same bench the PWD(R&B) agreed to pay Rs.7 lac to the M/S Bashir Ahmed as recovery within 9 months. In the court of Munsif Judicial Magisterate, Banihal,Rajeev Kumar Tadyal, a total amount of Rs.30,60,043 was paid as wages to 1440 labourers under MGNREGA by the Rural Development Department. In the court of Sub-Judge (JM1C), Batote, Pawan Sharma, an amount of Rs.70,200 was realised as a recovery in the cases pertaining to the electricity, water, Traffic, COPTA etc at pre-litigation stage. In the courts of PDSJ, Ramban, CJM,Ramban,Munsif Ramban, JM1C Batote, Munsif Banihal and Munsif Gool 92,407,31,452,1440 and 37 cases were respectively decided today. |
