Jammu, Dec 12: Bakshi Nagar police today claimed to have arrested a notorious criminal wanted in several cases registered at various police stations and was evading his arrest since long.
Police have identified the arrested as Bipan Gupta @ Bipan Bhoot s/o Ramesh Chander of Lane no 06 Shakti Nagar Jammu.
Police spokesman said, "following specific information about the movement of notorious criminal today conducted raid and arrested a notorious and hard core criminal.
"The said hardcore criminal is involved in many criminal cases against which cases stands registered in various police stations such as Janipur, Pacca Danga , Akhnoor, Satwari and Nawabad in several heinous crimes," police said .
The said arrest was made by a special team led by Inspector Ashwani Kumar, SHO Bakshi Nagar and SI Vikas Hans, in-charge police post Sarwal and SI Mukhtyar Ali under the supervision of DySP Vivek Sheikhar. |
