NMC urges FM to allocate funds for new pay commission | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 13: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today urged upon the State Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu to earmark sufficient funds in view of 7th pay commission recommendations which are likely to be accepted by J&K government during new financial year whereas the Central government is likely to implement the same during this or next month. According to press release, interacting with media persons here Shastri expressed the hope that Chief Minister and Finance Minister who have the reputation of taking bold decisions will surely put proper and effective mechanism in place for implementation of the pay commission recommendations in respect of State Govt. employees and pensioners and also regularization of nearly sixty one thousand daily rated workers working in various departments of State Govt. Shastri while expressed the hope that second budget of the present dispensation will look into the genuine issues faced by these poor daily rated workers to ameliorate the suffering similarly the issues of regularization of sixty one thousand daily rated workers will be taken up also. Pleading the cause of clerical cadre of the State govenmnt Shastri reminded the present regime to rationalize and settle the anomalies existing in the pay structures of clerical cadre under SRO 93. The judgement of High court of J&K needs to be respected by way of their implementation, Shastri said. Shastri also demanded an early appointment of national wage commission to evolve national wage policy throughout the country, release of 6% D.A. installment due from July last in favour of state government employees and pensioners well before Christmas Day, release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in various departments of the state government. |
