Cong leader's relatives enjoy privileges in JU 12/13/2015 11:59:57 PM Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 13: Relatives of a senior Congress leader are allegedly calling the shots and are enjoying the privileges in Jammu University. Sources told Early Times that the senior Congress leader had got his relative adjusted at an important post in University of Jammu a few years ago and since then he has been ruling the roost. "The official adjusted on Congress leader's direction even got his wife appointed in the Varsity," sources added. "The Congress leader had tried to get him adjusted in Baba Gulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri but the then Vice-Chancellor of the BGSBU had refused to accommodate the blue eyed", sources said. "But the then Vice-Chancellor of the Jammu University went out of way to accommodate the blue eyed boy to appease the powerful Congress leader." "The then VC of the Jammu University also appointed the official's wife in the Varsity in 2013 on the directions of the Congress leader when Jammu was reeling under curfew due to unrest in Kishtwar. The then Jammu University VC was hopeful that the Congress leader would help him in getting him another term but it didn't happen" sources claimed. They said recently government elevated the "blue eyed boy" to an important position in the varsity taking everyone by a surprise. Expressing disappointment over government's decision to elevate the blue eyed official to an important post a group of the JU officials said, "Unfortunately an inexperienced person has been awarded with top post as he enjoys the political patronage." They said that it is really sad that the post has been given to person who has just 6-7 years experience and people who could have been elevated to the top post have been ignored.
