Officials overstay at their posts 12/14/2015 11:59:40 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 14: Owing to political influence and links with higher-ups in their departments, certain officials in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department Udhampur district are sticking on to their posts despite being transferred. According to sources two months back Director CAPD Department transferred Salesmen of different districts in Jammu including Udhampur vide order number 193-DCAPDJ of 2015 dated 12-8-2015. Apart from this Storekeepers in District Udhampur were also transferred within the district vide order number 269-CAPDJ of 2015 on dated 17-10-2015. Though among the transferred officials, those who have no godfathers in politics or in their department joined their new places of their posting while those who enjoyed this 'privilege' are still continuing to work at their old places of posting. Sources said that the officials sticking to their previous posting places have developed networks to earn illegal grafts as the money percolated upwards, the higher-ups in the department pose a blind eye to the issue.
