Distt SPs directed to constitute anti-drug squads 12/13/2015 11:00:12 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 13: DGP K Rajendra has directed all the district SPs to constitute anti-drug squads, a special force to tackle the drug menace at district levels. The move comes following the November 28 anti-drug rally in Jammu city. In the rally, a clarion call was given to the civil and police administration to take effective steps to deal with the drug menace. The DGP had directed all the district SPs through video conferencing to constitute special squads at district levels which would special deal with the drug menace and the drug mafia with iron hands. The drug mafia is growing here by all indications. Around 71 cases of NDPS Act have been registered against 37 registered till September 31, 2014, which shows that the smuggling of psychotropic substances has increased more than twice in the Jammu district in the past nine months.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
