JAMMU, Dec 13 : State Dragon Boat (men and women) teams today left for participation in the 7th Dragon Boat National Championship to be held at Guwahati in Assam from December 17 to December 19. The team was flagged off by Secretary Tourism, Farooq Ahmad Shah from TRC Jammu today. Also present were Director Tourism Kashmir, Mehmood, Aamir Ali, Liaqat Qadri, Kuldeep Handoo (all vice presidents), Rashid (joint secretary) and Farooq Ahmed (secretary). Earlier, the team was given a send off at Srinagar by president of J&K Dragon Boat Association, MS Punoo. Meanwhile, as per a handout issued here today, the Association also conducted a special coaching camp for the selected teams under the trained and qualified coaches of the J&K Police at Dal Lake. |
