JSM seeks CBI probe in cancellation of ARs interviews | | | Jammu, Dec 13 : The Jammu Students Morcha (JSM) has demanded high level probe to unravel alleged mystery behind the unprecedented cancellation of the selection process of Assistant Registrars (ARs), by Jammu University administration. Addressing a press conference here today, JSM President Vikram Kumar said the Jammu University cancelled the selection process for the post of Assistant Registrars after ward of a top official of Jammu University, who was also an aspirant failed to garner minimum qualifying points needed to appear in interview, which was earlier postponed not once but thrice. The NSF leader demanded from the state government to take cognizance of the fraud being committed by the Vice Chancellor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma and order probe through Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to unravel the truth behind the whole episode. He also sought explanation from the University authorities as to why no approval was taken from the University Council or Syndicate (top decision making bodies of the University) before declaring the selection process cancelled mid-way which is unprecedented. Kumar also asked the Jammu University administration to come clean over the allegations and declare the name of the top official who ordered cancellation of the selection process to restore the confidence of society in the fairness and transparency of the selection processes in the University. He alleged it is biggest fraud with the educated unemployed youth of the state who aspire for gazetted job after putting lot of painstaking efforts. Among those who were present in the press-conference included, Ajay Sharma, Anil Mahajan, and Washim.
