Jammu, Dec 13 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is committed to ensure greater participation of masses in running the affairs of the state and also raising the stock of political institutions in the state. Speaking to the convention of District Samba party workers at Samba today the Party General Secretary Ved Mahajan said PDP is a vibrant political party which has brought relief to people of Jammu & Kashmir on equitable basis in past spell and has picked up the thread of development and system reformation, where it has left in 2005. The Convention was organised by Dr Harmesh Salathia,District President Samba. Mahajan said that the NC- Cong rule did everything to undo at political, administrative and economic level, what Mufti led government has led in past. But nine months rule is witness to distinguished performance which is visible on ground. Administration is back on rails. Highlighting the achievements of the present Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Mahajan said that Ladli Beti scheme, National Food Security Act recently passed by the Cabinet and introducing of Skill Development Programme in educational institutions are important welfare programmes . On this occasion State Secretary, Jitender Bhat, senior leaders Satpal Singh Charak, Sukhwinder Singh, Sunny Sangral, Ghar Singh, Mah-eshwar, Shashi, Anita Devi, Tinku, and others also addressed the workers. Workers discussed the problems like non functioning of New Bus Stand and raised the demands concerning development in the district. Earlier, Mahajan was accorded rousing reception at Bari Brahamna by Pritam, Bachan, Yashpal and Dr. Gandotra. |
