Jammu, Dec 28 : Sweet music melodies from the valley echoed in the ears of audience even after when they left Abhinav Theatre. Radio Kashmir Jammu and J&K Academy of Art, culture and Languages presented a soulful, exciting and exuberant evening of heart throbbing Kashmiri melodies to the ecstatic crowd that filled every inch of the auditorium. The event started with traditional lighting of the lamp by DDG (E) K.K.Singh,Station director .V.K.Sambyal and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Leading voices in the world of Kashmiri Music enthralled the crowd for almost more than two hours sending them into an ocean of bliss and ecstasy as music always touches the chord that only meditation can do. The artists on display included the likes of Gulzar Ganai,Kuldeep Sapru, Ravi Bhan, Deepali Wattal, Naina Saproo Trisal, Sunaina kaul, Kiran Kaul , Pallavi & Nirmal kaul, Zulekha Farid and Feroz Ahmad Shah. New experimentations alongside the traditional style of singing on the lyrics of poets like Prakash Ram Kurigami, Soche Kral, Nyame Saaeb, Shams Faquir and Rahim Saaeb Sopori were on display. Highlight of the programme was Kashmiri music genre of Sheshrang. The event was conceptualised by Programme executive Kamal Krishan Lidhoo, hosted by Senior announcer Madhvi Sharma and Ashok Kallo. |
