JAMMU, Dec 28: An PSI, who is at present posted as incharge of a police post in Jammu South, is alleged to be doing the full-time job of a property dealer. Using the influence of khaki and, with maternal uncle, who is PA to a senior police officer, on his back, he is minting crores in the 'disputed' land business.
Though he is junior to many, he is always posted as police post incharge. Earlier, he was the head of a police post in Jammu North. His maternal uncle manages postings for him, using the influence of his boss, a senior police officer.
Police sources said soon after he was posted as incharge of the police post in Jammu South, he joined hands with the 'infamous' property dealers and earned lakhs by helping them to clinch disputed land deals in the areas that fall under his jurisdiction. "Because of his uncle, his seniors just ignore his wrong and unlawful acts. There are several complaints of professional misconduct against him, but seniors don't take any action," the sources added.
"All in Jammu police circles know about his illegal acts, but they keep mum because of his uncle's influence," sources said.
During his probation period also, he was posted as incharge of a police post in Jammu, sources informed.
"While the efficient officers are being made to suffer, he is enjoying good postings only because of the influence of his uncle," sources said.
