NSS unit of GGM Science College organizes pad yatra 12/28/2015 10:20:18 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 28 : NSS unit of GGM Science College today organized a Pad Yatra which started from GGM Science College and culminated at Maha Maya Temple after passing through Jewel Chowk, Gujjar Nagar, Bagh-e- Bahu areas. According to press release, the volunteers were accompanied by Principal of the College Dr. Ajeet Angral, along with NSS programme officers Dr. Rajinder Singh and Dr. Vinod Bakshi. The aim of this pad yatra was to acquaint the volunteers with the environment and environment related issues . This yatra was a part of seven days annual winter camp which was inaugurated by Dr. Ajeet Angral Nodal principal Jammu Division Colleges on 26th of December 2015. On the inaugural day, Dr. Rajinder Singh gave details about the camp and the work to be undertaken by the NSS Volunteers during the camp. Principal Dr. Ajeet Angral in his presidential address appreciated the NSS Unit of the college for organizing this event as these activities inculcate moral values amongst the students and their role towards the society and asked to the students to become role models in the society. Besides during cleanliness drive in the college, the volunteers also spend a couple of days with the inmates of Bal Ashram, Vridh Ashram, Ved Mandir, Jammu and do some philanthropic activities there.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
